How to Book a Suitability Assessment for
Laser Eye Surgery

If you would like more freedom from glasses or contact lenses, you can make as appointment to assess your suitability for Laser Vision Correction

In Greater Wellington and Hawkes Bay

We offer a free suitability assessment that enables us to meet you and begin to assess your individual suitability for vision correction surgery; and enables you to meet us and ask any questions you may have. Or you can choose to go straight to see the surgeon and have a full medical assessment which costs $150.00 (and is taken off the price of surgery if you proceed).

In Gisborne, Manawatu, Taupo, Taranaki, Wanganui, Nelson, Blenheim regions

For areas outside of Wellington patients are co-managed with their Optometrist. If you wish to be assessed as to your possible suitability for vision correction surgery please make an appointment with the Eye Centre nearest you or your Optometrist on behalf of the Wellington, Manawatu (at Optimeyes) or Hawkes Bay Eye Centre.

Your Optometrist will complete the suitability assessment and send the information to the Eye Centre. A small fee applies for this appointment, however, if you proceed with laser vision correction $80 will be deducted from the surgery fee.

Once you have this assessment the results will be reviewed by the ophthalmologist who will perform the surgery and the eye centre will contact you to arrange a full medical assessment with him.
