Free Suitability Assessment for Christchurch patients
For patients who live outside Wellington, your initial assessment can be performed by a local
optometrist in the Christchurch area. If you proceed with laser eye surgery with the Eye Centre
in Wellington, we will reimburse you the cost of seeing the optometrist.
Wellington Eye Centre also offer a free suitability assessment to anyone interested in laser eye
surgery. During this assessment we will conduct an eye exam, and other eye health checks.
This will take around 40 minutes, and by the end of the appointment we’ll be able to determine
whether you’re suitable for laser surgery. If you’re suited to one of our eye surgery procedures
then you will need to book a medical assessment.
Post operative care in Christchurch
If you live in Christchurch then it could be a bit of an inconvenience to get all the way back to
Wellington for your eye tests and checks following eye surgery. That’s why we will arrange your
post-operative care with your local Christchurch optometrist at no cost to you.
You’ll need several eye check appointments following your surgery, at:
